The Mosher Lab

Joining the Mosher lab
Please read all information on this page before emailing Prof Mosher to express your interest in joining the lab. Unless you are responding to an advertised opening, your email should include your plan to apply for funding.
Current Vacancies
No funded vacancies.
An unfunded PhD project is available (details here). The selected applicant will be considered for departmental and university scholarships and Dr. Mosher will support external scholarship applications.
Prospective DPhil students
The Mosher laboratory recruits DPhil students through two streams:

1. The Department of Biology. Please note that there are two application deadlines (usually early January and early March). Applicants must submit to the first deadline to be considered for university scholarships.
2. Highly competitive candidates can apply for ILESA, a Doctoral Training Program in the biosciences. Please note that ILESA has very limited funding for international graduate students.

Funded studentships will be posted above under Current Vacancies. If they are not listed, Prof Mosher does not have an available studentship and interested students will need to have a plan for their own support.
Applicants should carefully review the Oxford University entry requirements. International students should particularly note language requirements and the university's guidance on qualifications from foreign institutions.

If you meet the Oxford entry requirements AND have a plan to apply for funding, please email Prof Mosher to discuss research opportunities.
Prospective Postdoctoral Researchers
Open positions will be listed under Current Vacancies. If there are none listed, Prof Mosher does not currently have funding to support a new Postdoctoral Research Associate.

If you wish to apply for external funding to support a postdoctoral fellowship in the Mosher lab, you may email Prof Mosher to express your interest and outline the specific funding opportunity you are targeting. Please note that the Biology Department frequently limits the number of applications it will support for particular funding schemes. Please plan ahead and review the Biology Fellowships page for more details.
